I imagine that it is based on the former Crownline product, as many PDK kits are.

For £90ish, it's also well priced. I shall have to ruminate on it and check my money box, especially with the extras of motor, wheels etc etc.
An unpainted J36 kit can be viewed at:

http://www.pdkmodels.co.uk/Gallery.htm

- it's down at the bottom of the page.

Cheers,
GeorgeGeorge Denthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13636120634078363608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2212570041608488781.post-15276984306944099112011-02-21T22:16:35.355+00:002011-02-21T22:16:35.355+00:00Is the PDK kit the ex-Crownline one?Is the PDK kit the ex-Crownline one?Jim Tinnionhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09114544290502136378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2212570041608488781.post-37488070046921804872011-02-15T18:27:14.911+00:002011-02-15T18:27:14.911+00:00there is a pdk kit of a j36 in 00there is a pdk kit of a j36 in 00Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04540842429453591000noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2212570041608488781.post-20366860089276284362011-02-15T11:09:48.602+00:002011-02-15T11:09:48.602+00:00Hi,

And, yes, the GEM kit is whitemetal and not the easiest prospect by all accounts. If someone of the calibre of Dave Alexander could make a more up-to-date whitemetal kit in his usual fashion, I'd certainly be in the queue for one!
Cheers,
GeorgeGeorge Denthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13636120634078363608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2212570041608488781.post-58702952918724453712011-02-15T10:42:08.154+00:002011-02-15T10:42:08.154+00:00To my knowledge there are no other 4mm kits on the...To my knowledge there are no other 4mm kits on the market. I hope though that Hornby or Bachmann make a model for those of us who have no experience at building white metal kits as the GEM kit I think is white metal.JhornG201https://www.blogger.com/profile/16414505078623560031noreply@blogger.com
