FORD LTL9000 CHASSIS
The slow and laborious process of 'plumbing' the partly-assembled chassis of this Italeri kit has begun, using Tamiya flexible cable and whitemetal castings from Kit Form Services. There are a large number of sub-assemblies to treat individually, including the twin rear and front axles, with brake hoses, electrical cable and fuel lines, adding various cast valves in appropriate locations. Then, miniature etched cable ties (from Czech Truck Model) are added to tidy everything up.
I've managed to find a number of useful prototype images from the internet to help in this regard. However, some educated guesses have also been employed. I'm thinking that as long as everything looks like it should be where it is, then that'll be fine.
This is an interesting job, but definitely one that has to be done in short bursts, lest it drive me mad.
